This country-chic soap is made using homegrown Calendula petals and Orange Essential Oil. My personal favorite, this rustic bar is sure to promote a sunny disposition during colder months!
About the Calendula flower:
This sunny little flower brightens my garden almost year round. It's not only hardy and beautiful, it's edible too! I never miss a chance at adorning a fresh garden salad with the calendula's golden rays. Because of their antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, these blossoms are a staple in my medicine cabinet. I pluck the flowers at the peak of their bloom, dry them, then infuse the petals in oils to impart the healing qualities to my salves, balms, lotions, and all things baby related. While these soothing properties are neutralized during the soap making process, the petals are a happy reminder of good health and long summer days!
